Underlayer1024
Kind of 2048 game, but in two layers. Merge tiles from upper layer and underlayer... till 1024
|
|
The game is the further development of well known 2048 game. Game has two layers with tiles: upper transparent layer and Underlayer. When some tile on the upper layer appears over the tile with the same value on the bottom layer, these two tiles merge, and the resulting tile receives the value of the sum of two merged tiles. Move tiles on both layers left-right, up-down, to merge equal tiles. Try to get this way up to 1024, to win the game. And each next level is more erotic!

Somebody slap me. Figures that only now do I realize I was wrong on you could say 2 counts. First, 16s do appear although less often than in future versions. Second, having more 8s appear in this one actually makes it harder since you need more room for all the 8s. As for why I thought it was easier? I will chalk that up to getting lucky and winning on the first try last time. But in general its probably ideal for more 16s and less 8s to appear as you level up. |

The other reason I like this version better which I think is still important, is that this older style for mobile games easily fits on standard resolution desktop screens, unlike the newer mobile games. I would prefer if this game screen was lower on the page so that I could center it rather than have it be stuck near the top of the page, but its still better than the newer mobile games. However, if the newer mobile games were shrunk by just 10 percent or 100 pixels, it could fit in 1600 x 900 resolution desktop screens. That should still be fine for mobile too, so I think thatd be a worthwhile change. |

I had not realized this earlier version of this game existed. But I actually like it better for a few reasons. The significant reason is that only 8s appear, which actually makes it easier to merge tiles and not run out of room, than when both 8s and 16s can appear at the same time like in the other version. I think and prefer 2048 games to not be that hard since you have to start all over if you lose, which happened to me when I was close to winning a few times in the other version. Having only 8s appear does make the game a little longer, but its still fine. To keep it shorter though, what you could do instead is have only 8s appear at first, then for the last few levels have only 16s appear. |
